ISS provides many avenues of support for faculty, staff and students at UTEP to support our mission of serving as a model of excellence in providing integrated support for pedagogically and technologically effective university teaching.
Faculty Instructional Technology (FIT) lab
The Faculty Instructional Technology (FIT) Lab provides walk-in support and training to UTEP faculty and instructors, enabling the increased use of technology in the classroom, as well as in online settings. Full time staff members and graduate student assistants provide a friendly and easy way to get one-on-one support and walk-in training. The lab is equipped with a central training area consisting of eight computers which can be requested for DNN (Dot Net Nuke), WebCT, MS Office, Banner/Goldmine and other basic trainings.
Access to Technology Learning and Service (ATLAS) lab
ATLAS works with faculty/staff to provide customized software training for your class. This is an ideal solution if you are looking to incorporate technology into your course, yet feel that your students may have questions for which you don't have answers. This is also a good solution when you do not wish to use valuable class time, but want to schedule trainings for students needing additional help.
