UTEP’s College of Education Online Programs Hit Enrollment High - Monday, January 18, 2010
In the fall of 2009, UTEP’s College of Education (COE) Online Programs had the third highest enrollment UT TeleCampus (UTTC) with 569 participants in the Master of Education, Instructional Specialist and the Alternative Teacher Certification Program. UTEP had the highest enrollment of any campus in the UT system with 1,906 students.  More on the COE Online Master’s Program can be found on the UT Telecampus Web Site.

Scholarship on Project LEAP UP - Friday, December 04, 2009
UTEP Associate Professor Larry Lesser (with Illinois State’s Matthew Winsor) has just published a paper in the November 2009 issue of Statistics Education Research Journal, an international top-tier journal with an acceptance rate of 15% published by the International Association for Statistics Education (IASE) and the International Statistical Institute (ISI). The paper appears to be the first research study on English language learners in the context of statistics education, and the work was supported in part by Project LEAP-UP.

Living life is her Love story: Blanca Enriquez invests in a head start for city, children - Monday, September 14, 2009
The story, like Enriquez herself, is something of a whirlwind, a 59-year whirlwind. The young girl from Juárez, the teenager who graduated in the top 10 percent of her class at Bowie High School, the young woman who got bachelor's and master's degrees from UTEP and a doctorate from New Mexico State has somehow managed to embrace life while traveling at 110 miles per hour.
