MMR Percussion Auditions

Auditions for the 2013-14 Marching Miner Regiment percussion sections will be held on Friday May 10, 2013 from 5:30-9:30pm. Contact Prof. T. André Feagin for auditions materials/questions.

Professor Larry White

Professor Larry White has been appointed to select music for TMEA percussion auditions for state of Texas in 2013. He will also be giving a clinic at Texas Bandmaster's Association convention in July 2013.

Dr. Charles Leinberger

Dr. Leinberger will present another lecture on Ennio Morricone's compositional techniques at Music Theory Midwest at the University of Okalahoma in Norman in April 2013.

Graduate Teaching Assistantship

The UTEP Department of Music is inviting applicants for graduate teaching assistantships for the upcoming academic year.

Assistantships are available in either applied or academic areas, pending qualified applicants. These areas include, but are not limited to, band, orchestra, choir, keyboard, guitar, conducting, music education, music history and literature, and music theory and composition. Those prospective and current graduate students who are interested should contact Dr. David Ross, Graduate Music Advisor, at dross@utep.edu, or by calling (915) 747-7827, for more information.
