MATH RESOURCE CENTER FOR STUDENTS

The Mathematics Resource Center for Students is a place where you, as a UTEP student, can come to ask for help in ANY of your Math classes. We have a team of highly qualified bilingual(Spanish/English) tutors who will answer all your doubts in many diversified areas of math and physics. They will openly assist you with class material or homework you may have. At class you may generate doubts that your professor may not have time to answer, so just stop by to get clarified on the theory or solving methods for your math problems. To get assistance, come in during any of our working hours and sign in at our front desk. We’ll be glad to assist you! We’ll help you with: Basic Algebra Discrete Math Logic Courses Math 1319 Differential Eqns BE Courses Precalculus Math 1320 EE Courses Calc I-Calc III Statistics Engr. We are located in the UTEP Library on the second floor in Room 218

We offer material to help incoming students in enhancing their performance in the Accuplacer test. We may also help in the math portion of the TEXES, GMAT, and GRE. For help on these exams we do suggest looking at the material before hand and bringing in specific questions regarding material on these tests. Extensive one-on-one tutoring highly depends on the amount of students requiring help on a specific time.

Our Philosophy

Our main goal is to help you understand.

It is not required that you prepare before arriving. However, it is helpful that you review your material and have specific questions ready. In general we don't like providing answers per se and we will abstaing as much as possible, but we do commit to guiding you in doing and understanding your work. Although we are proficient in many subjects, we ask for patience in those subjects that are more challenging than usual, or subjects that we have not seen. Nevertheless, we will help you even in these topics as much as possible.
