2. Library Administration    

The UTEP Library Administration office is located on the third floor of the library.  It is headed by Mr. Robert L. Stakes, Interim Director.  Luke Jastrzebski, the Associate University Librarian for Public Services, and Carol Kelley, the Associate University Librarian for Technical Services assist with daily administration of their respective areas. The Interim Director is responsible for the administration of a centralized campus library with a collection of over one million volumes, an annual budget of $5.5 million, a staff of 22 professional librarians, 46 classified staff, and 111 student assistants, as well as a growing base of electronic resources, media, microforms, and special collections.  The Interim Director plays a vital role in academic program development at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Interim Director is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the library support of the University's instructional and research mission.
