Setting Up your UT TeleCampus Hosted Course Login Account    

If you have successfully registered for one or more online courses offered by The Universisty of Texas at El Paso that are hosted by the UT TeleCampus, there are three steps you need to complete to set up your UT TeleCampus Login.
  1. You MUST activate your free UTEP email account.
  2. Once you have an email account, you will now need to complete your access to the UT TeleCampus so that correspondence from the UT TeleCampus will be sent to you.  Perhaps more important, you will be able to complete your student profile on the UT TeleCampus website so you may be able to access your courses at the beginning of the semester.
    1. Go to the UT TeleCampus homepage. (www.uttc.org)
    2. Locate and click on the "TIS" at the top of the page. (This is the TeleCampus Information System)
    3. Locate and click on "Create Student Account" on the left side.  You must have registered at UTEP prior to creating your TIS account.
    4. Complete your student profile using your new UTEP email account.
    5. This is also the site you go to if you forget your TIS username/password.
  3. Finally, the course(s) that you have registered for may be available for you to access one week prior to the beginning of the semester.
   
Accessing the UT TeleCampus Hosted Course    

The following information will facilitate your access to the course during this semester.

  1. From the TeleCampus web site http://www.uttc.org click on “Course Login” located at the top of of the UT TeleCampus home page.
  2. Another browser window will appear.  Click on the highlighted link “Login to your course”
  3. On the left side of this Blackboard screen, click on the “login” button.
    • You are invited to click on other links on this screen.
  4. In the UT TeleCampus Login window located in the center of this screen, enter you UTTC username and UTTC password. Click “login”
    • Your username and password were created when you completed your TIS profile.
  5. This next screen is called a portal (doorway) to a variety of services available to you as a student taking a course via the UT TeleCampus.
    • Locate “my courses” column on the right side of this screen.
    • Click on the course you want to enter
  6. Now you are at your course.  Click on the course navigation buttons located on the left side of this screen.  Look around. Your faculty person will provide you additional instructions about starting the course.
