Professor Howard Campbell has published a new book, Drug War Zone: Frontline Dispatches from the Streets of El Paso and Juárez, that uses an ethnographic perspective to chronicle the recent Mexican drug
war, focusing especially on people and events in the border region. It is the first social science study of the violent drug war that
is tearing Mexico apart, and a penetrating examination of the realities of drug issues and policies. It was published by the University of Texas Press. More information can be found at http://www.utexas.edu/utpress/books/camdru.html
