The Student Assessment & Testing Office administers institutional ACT and TOEFL tests to provide admissions tests at convenient dates and times for students. The Office also serves as a testing center for the National ACT test program several times a year. The Office administers all CLEP (College Level Examination Program) tests for students that would like to earn credit-by-examination and move more quickly toward a degree. The Student Assessment & Testing Office administers all UTEP placement test programs, such as the placement tests to determine initial course placement in math, English, reading, English as a Second Language, Computer Information Systems, Spanish, French, Nutrition, and many others.
