Music Theory Placement Exam

All new music students need to take the Music Theory Placement Exam before they can be advised. New music students do not need to make an appointment to take the exam; however, they should call (915) 747-5606 one or two days before the exam to confirm that this schedule is up to date. Students should bring pencils, erasers and their UTEP ID number (8XXXXXXXX). It is recommended that students print and complete the Music Theory Placement Exam Cover Sheet and bring it with them to the exam. Please see the link at the bottom of this page. There is no fee for taking the exam. All exams take place in the Fox Fine Arts Center (FFA) on the UTEP campus.
