Post Baccalaureate    

Welcome to the College of Education, and thank you for considering UTEP.
The College of Education offers the Post Baccalaureate program for students who hold a four year degree and wish to become certified to teach at the elementary, middle or high school levels. This program is offered during the day and includes internship experiences in local schools.

Students who wish to enroll in the program fill out a "Request for Certification" plan. Students must submit this along with copies of all college credit transcripts.  To be admitted to the Post Baccaulaureate Program students must meet the following requirements:

        1.      Admitted to UTEP Graduate School 
        2.      GPA of 2.5 or higher 
        3.      THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) 
                or TASP (Texas Academics Skills Program) scores of:   
                Math - 230, Reading - 250, Writing - 220
