NEW CONFERENCES & CALLS FOR PAPERS |

The 9th annual Border Regions in Transition Conference will take place from January 12th through 15th, 2008, in Victoria, BC and Bellingham, WA. The theme of the conference will be “North American and European Border Regions in Comparative Perspective: Markets, States & Border Communities.” Those who are interested in presenting research at the conference should submit a one-page description of the proposed paper to brit2008@uvic.ca by August 15th, 2007. The 2007 U.S. - Mexico Binational Conference on Migration and Social Policy Research will be held at the University of California, San Diego from November 8th through 9th, 2007. Faculty, post-doctoral scholars, and graduate students from economics and sociology are invited to submit extended abstracts along with the complete name(s) of author(s), institutional affiliation, and mail and e-mail addresses.
