The
SHINE-Citizenship Adult Literacy program links university students with
adult immigrants and refugees seeking to navigate the complex path to U. S.
citizenship. In community centers, temples, churches, senior housing,
and classrooms, students tutor adults in the community, teaching the U.S. history and civics lessons needed to pass the citizenship exam.
Classes are held at a wide variety of times, from early morning to evening, throughout the week and weekend.
Note:
Please be advised that some sites for this program require you to be
the head instructor. Also, some sites require skills in Spanish.
Due to limited space, it will be first come first serve for sites available at each training.
