HONORS AND AWARDS COMMITTEE -Reviews and makes recommendations for College of Education honors and awards, including the: 1) Faculty Distinguished Achievement in Scholarship; 2) Faculty Distinguished Achievement in Teaching; 3) Faculty Distinguished Achievement in Service; 4) Outstanding Staff Service; and 5) student awards. Also reviews and makes recommendations for COE Awards for honors to outstanding K-12 teachers (outstanding novice teacher award and outstanding mentor teacher awards).

STUDENT SUCCESS COMMITTEE (formerly, the QEP Committee) -Works with faculty, staff and students to develop a comprehensive plan for student success at every level in the College of Education, aligned with UTEP's comprehensive plan, including a focus on program review and advising (recruitment, advising, graduation and certification). Implements and evaluates the effectiveness of initiatives developed in the comprehensive/strategic plan for COE student success.

EDWEB TEAM COMMITTEE -Maintains and updates the COE website and provides an interface between IT and the COE. Provides technical support to COE personnel in uploading information about COE projects and activities. Members of the EdWeb Team Committee have demonstrated understandings of the UTEP institutional Web design and development interface, as well as expert abilities with Web authoring tools, including DNN, CSS and HTML.

PDS PLANNING COMMITTEE –Works with partners from UTEP's Colleges of Education, Science and Liberal Arts as well as K-12 partner/PDS schools to strengthen existing UTEP-K12 partnership activities. Develops plans for enhancing the existing model and implements/evaluates modifications to current practices/ policies, and partnership sites.

TExES/ExCET ADVISORY COMMITTEE -Provides support to the Student Data Coordinator in implementing COE activities in relation to student success. This includes monitoring the quality of review sessions, implementation of effective qualifying examination sessions, and communication with students/staff/faculty about policies. The Committee also will serve as a forum for student, staff, or faculty grievances about any of the above matters.
