What is distance, or online, education?
Distance, or online, education can be any course delivered outside of the traditional campus classroom. Distant learners and onsite students needing flexibility in their schedules now have additional options.
What is the difference between a hybrid and an online learning course?
A hybrid course will have a certain percentage of face-to-face time (e.g. there are times that you will be required to attend a face-2-face classroom lecture for the class.)

UTEP uses two different platforms for distance learning; therefore, it is extremely important that you carefully read the course catalog description of the course(s) within the course catalog. If you cannot retrieve catalog easily, or you are still unsure, please call the UTEP Registrar's Office at 1.915.747.5544 and have your 5-digit CRN number that uniquely identifies the course(s) in question.

In addition, if you are taking an online course that requires you to log into UTEP's (https://my.utep.edu/ ) locally hosted online course, you will need the UTEP email to even access the course.
