                                         Yuri Herrera, who is now pursuing a PhD at Berkeley, had his MFA thesis, Trabajos del Reino, selected as the winner of the Concurso Nacional de Novela Jóven de México (National Mexican Prize for Young Novelist).

Gabriela Aguirre Sánchez

 

 

 Gabriela Aguirre born in Queretaro, Mexico. With her MFA thesis,  La frontera: un cuerpo (Tierra Adentro), was selected as the winner of Premio Nacional de Poesía Jóven “Elias Nandino” 2003(National Prize for Young Poets).

Sheryl Luna won the Andres Montoya Poetry Prize
for Pity the Drowned Horses,
published by the University of Notre Dame.
She was a finalist for the 2003 National Poetry Series book award.
