Cooperative Pharmacy Program (CPP) Student Home

Overview

The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the University of Texas at El Paso, offers a six-year curriculum leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree to El Paso students.  The program is a unique program with a limited number of openings available each year.  Students accepted into the program are referred to as Cooperative Pharmacy Program (CPP) Students.

The Cooperative Pharmacy Program offers two pathways into the program.

The high school pathway is one of the unique high school entry programs for perspective pharmacy students available in the United States.  Highly qualified El Paso area high school students can gain conditional admission to the nationally recognized University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy.

The transitional pathway offers current or former UTEP students the opportunity to apply to the Cooperative Pharmacy Program if they have achieved a competitive GPA in the prerequisite coursework, a competitive score on the PCAT test, and meet all other admission requirements of the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy.
