The Preliminary Plan of Study is a 1-2 page document detailing an applicant’s philosophy, plan of study, and goals.
Applicants should explain why they are interested in pursuing an interdisciplinary graduate degree, what disciplines, geographical areas, and/or eras they plan to study and what knowledge and/or skills they wish to achieve.  Applicants' course list should justify how listed course will build the skills and knowledge to achieve their academic goals. The plan of study should also outline a prospectus for a final project, which will demonstrate that the students have achieved the knowledge and skills needed to reach their goals.
