• Arrive early and come often.  We can help you improve if we see you frequently.


• Bring the assignment sheet.  If your professor put the assignment in writing, let us read it so we know what you need to do.


• Participate during your session.  Tutoring is a conversation about how you can improve your writing.


• Expect realistic results.  Tutors can help you with only one or two points per session.  If you have a long paper, come several times.


• Ask questions.  If you don’t understand what the tutors say to you, speak up.  That’s the best way to learn.


• Follow our recommendations.  After you leave, continue to work on your writing based on what you learned.
