Changes
Fee Changes for State Tests
- Effective August 11, 2008 for Paper-Based Testing(PBT) and Effective September 1, 2008 for Computer Administered Test (CAT), the test fees will now be $120 (Note: the $35 CAT surcharge will be eliminated).
Late registration fees will be $35 and emergency registration fees will be $75.
- Surcharge for international testing – an additional $50 fee has been implemented for examinees registering to test in Puerto Rico and Mexico.
Printed/Mailed Admission Tickets
- Admission tickets will no longer be mailed to TExES/ExCET, TExMat, and TOPT* examinees.
- TASC/TASC-ASL examinees, authorization letter containing appointment information will continue to be mailed.
- Examinees must print their admission ticket when they register and check again 24 hours prior to the test date to make sure no change in reporting address has occurred.
Printed/Mailed Score Reports
- Score reports will no longer be mailed, they will only be available online.
- Scores will be viewble online for 90 days after they are initially posted
- Score report reprints will no longer be offered; test takers will be able to print their score reports from their testing accounts on the ETS TExES website http://www.texes.ets.org/
- Paper registration available only for test takers requesting testing accommodations. These accommodatios need to be made weeks in advance contact ETS at http://www.texes.ets.org/.
- Monday score reporting: to avoid overlapping registration deadlines and score reporting dates, scores will be reported and posted on the 3rd and 4th Monday following each test administration.

* In September 2010 the Bilingual Target Language Proficieny Test (BTLPT) will replace the Texas
Oral Proficiency Test (TOPT) for certification in Bilingual Education - Spanish.
