The C.A.S.E. program has reached its student participant capacity and is not accepting registrations.

The C.A.S.E. (Court Assistance & Social Engagement) Probate Court Program is dynamic in many areas, as it provides UTEP students a well-rounded approach in areas such as case management, assessment and the legal system. The target population will be elderly and incapacitated persons. UTEP students will develop interpersonal skills while being able to meet the guardians and wards of El Paso County Statutory Probate Court No. 1.  Students will be trained to conduct home visits with wards and their guardians and report back based on the visit.  A one-on-one interaction with theCourt Visitor Coordinator will be part of this program.  This will give UTEP students the ability to enhance their knowledge to what social services are available in the community. Also, students will have the opportunity to witness a court hearing proceeding regarding proposed wards of the state.

Space is limited for this program!!!
