• Your personal statement, approximately one page long, that should address the following questions:

1. What is your interest in chemistry or in a particular area of chemistry?
2. Why are you interested in joining the graduate program in chemistry at UTEP?

• What are your future career goals?
• A photocopy of your GRE scores
• A photocopy of your TOEFL score if you are an International student from a non-English speaking country. In order to qualify for a teaching assistantship yourscore must be a minimum of 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, or a score of 79 on the internet-based TOEFL, or a score of 213 on the computer-based TOEFL.
• Please arrange for three confidential letters of recommendation. Give your letter writers at least two weeks of time to prepare their letters. Ask them to send the letters of recommendation directly to the address provided below.
