National Society of Collegiate Scholars

The UTEP Chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars is an honorary organization of freshmen and sophomore students who have a minimum 3.4 GPA. Membership is by invitation in the spring and formal induction is in the fall. A one time fee of $75 is required for a lifetime membership. NSCS offers a variety of scholarship opportunities as well as other academically related services to its members. The UTEP chapter meets 5-6 times per academic year and is involved in a number of community service projects throughout the year. Membership provides students with many opportunities to enrich their academic career and to serve their university and community.
