Frank G. Pérez, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Communication
Frank G. Pérez (PhD, New Mexico) is Associate Professor of Communication and Research Fellow at the Sam Donaldson Center for Communication Studies. He is the Lead Instructor for the Latin American section of the UTEP/Rare Master of Arts Program. Dr. Pérez is also affilated with UTEP's Chiano Studies and Master of Leadership Studies programs. His areas of research include: Intercultural communication, Chicano studies, popular culture and identity issues.
Prof. Pérez's research has appeared in Aztlán, Communication for Development and Social Change, Western Journal of Communication, Communication Yearbook, and other scholarly outlets. He is currently writing a book with Carlos Ortega on communicating the fantasy heritage of Juan de Oñate in Southwest tourism.
