Aid &

Funding your education.

Most of our undergraduate international students fund their education with personal or family funds. Financial aid and scholarships can be limited, however; international students who meet certain criteria can be considered for aid and scholarships.
Financial Aid

Federal financial aid such as loans, grants and work study programs are available to U.S citizens and permanent residents only. International students may qualify for state financial aid after one year of full-time enrollment at UTEP.

International students who qualify for Texas Residency are eligible for state financial aid and other benefits.
For information about Texas Residency, visit College For All Texans.

For information about financial aid, visit Office of Student Financial Aid.

Scholarships are awards based on academic achievement, exam scores, or selected majors. Complete an application for UTEP's institutional scholarships available for international students.

For information, visit the Scholarship Office.
