Your UTEP account, gives you access to:

■ LiveMail – UTEP’s email service (username@miners.utep.edu)
■ Blackboard Learning System – UTEP’s online course management system
■ Goldmine - View your academic history, financial records including tuition payments and financial aid disbursements, and register for classes.

3. Take Placement ExamsRead More

Take Placement Exams

Placement exams such as ACCUPLACER or Compass are used by academic advisors to determine placement. Take your placement exams as soon as possible. Scores are needed to register for New Student Orientation.

4. Register for New Student OrientationRead More

Register for New Student Orientation

All new students must attend New Student Orientation. This is your opportunity to get acquainted with our campus and meet UTEP students, faculty and staff. You will visit with your academic advisor and register for classes. Register for New Student Orientation through your Miner Insider.

5. Register for International Student OrientationRead More

Register for International Student Orientation

In addition to New Student Orientation, all international students are strongly encouraged to attend International Student Orientation. This offers international students information about academic, social and cultural opportunities. During this orientation, you will learn about maintaining your immigration status, applying for a social security card, and getting a drivers license.
