Center for Civic Engagement

About Miner Volunteer Corps

The MVC is a membership-driven program made up of UTEP students ready and on call to serve the community. Students are offered a variety of benefits as members and are recognized for their contributions.

Organizations who wish to engage student Miner Volunteer Corps members in their events may request them through Community: Request Volunteers.

To become an MVC member you must first be excited about and willing to serve your community. This program aims to have a large group of volunteers who are ready and on call to serve on a moment’s notice. You may register via the CUE and once you are registered search for Miner Volunteer Corps. Click on the yellow badge to right on the page to become a fan. Once you are a fan, you will receive notifications via e-mail with the events you may participate in!

Why it is Needed

Oftentimes nonprofit organizations in our community organize events like walk/runs, galas, health fairs, and other events of the sort to either further their mission or to raise funds for their programs. While many are able to recruit their own volunteers, many look to UTEP as a great source of young and excited volunteers.

This is where YOU, UTEP Student, come in. We need you to be willing to step in and help because without you, many of these events are not possible.

There are many ways to volunteer but through MVC, we are especially grateful for your time.
