Study Abroad    

Mastery of a language is facilitated by acquiring a greater understanding of the culture in which it is spoken.  While much can be taught in the classroom, internalization of both language and culture is best done by immersion.  To this end, the National Security Studies Institute supports high quality study abroad opportunities for students that are at least a semester or longer in duration, through "study abroad" partnerships with universities in critical geographic regions including East Asia, the Persian Gulf, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. Our students have studied in Estonia, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Taiwan, and Turkey. To learn more about study abroad opportunities, please contact our study abroad coordinator:
