The Criminal Justice Student Society (CJSS) is a student organization, which strives to promote academic awareness to Criminal Justice students and students interested in related academic fields of study. This group also assists in the networking of information related to Criminal Justice career opportunities and organizes educational experiences, such as trips, lectures, and tours in the hope of enhancing knowledge of the Criminal Justice field. It will establish and maintain a professional and socially favorable rapport with fellow association members and agencies of the criminal justice system.
The Criminal Justice Department at UTEP is affiliated with the national American Criminal Justice Association Lambda Alpha Epsilon and is home to our local chapter – Lambda Epsilon Sigma.
