As noted in our mission, the department is committed to providing quality education, intellectual contributions and service to El Paso and the West Texas region. Holding separate AACSB International accreditation, the department offers BBA in Accounting, Master of Accountancy (Financial/Auditing and Tax concentrations), and MBA Accounting concentration programs. 	*March 2008 - Beta Alpha Psi students took First Place* in the Community Service category of the "Best Practices" competition at the San Antonio Regional Conference.**
	May 2007 - Deanna Nasser was named 2007 Outstanding Accounting Professional
	August 2007 - Beta Alpha Psi students represented UTEP at the National Meeting in Chicago
	April 2008 - Mrs. Mary Stevens was named BCC Department of Accounting Outstanding Faculty Member for 2007-2008.
	April 2008 - Dr. Stephen Salter received the Outstanding Research Award-Accounting at the BCC Faculty Awards Banquet.
