Welcome to the website of the Department of Civil Engineering at UTEP. Our Department offers prospective students choices of BS, MS, and PhD degrees in civil and environmental engineering with concentrations in construction management, environmental, geotechnical, infrastructural, structural, or transportation engineering. We strive to graduate engineers with high professional and ethical standards by engaging students in faculty research. Our faculty consists of 13 full-time professors who are excellent teachers and active researchers. The Department typically engages and supports 80 % of graduate students and 50% of undergraduate students through teaching and research assistantships.
