Bachelor of Science in Nursing Fast Track Program Minimize    

Summary:
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is designed for second-degree students interested in making a career change. Students may be accepted into the program with any baccalaureate degree that meets the
Texas Core requirements. Students must meet admissions requirements for the School of Nursing, including completion of required science prerequisite courses with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Additionally, candidates for admission must take the Nurse Entrance Test (NET) and score at the "High School" level or above on the reading and math sections of this nationally standardized test. Students must commit to full-time enrollment status for 15 months to complete the professional curriculum.

Applications are only accepted during the month of February each year, with professional curriculum courses beginning mid-May. Prerequisites:

22 credit hours of science prerequisite courses completed within the past 7 years, and 6 credit hours of nutrition and psychology (See University Undergraduate Catalog for specifics).

**Accelerated BSN–Fast Track applicants must have completed the science prerequisites (BIOL, CHEM, MICR, MATH) within seven years of applying for admission to the program.
All prerequisite courses must be completed by the time the program begins. You may apply while you are completing prerequisite courses in the Spring, but course(s) must be completed by May 18, 2009.
