We strive to make Mathematics and Mathematics Education engaging, relevant and  meaningful to our students and to the community we serve in the border region.

Besides teaching and conducting research, faculty in our department  are actively involved in outreach activities and interdisciplinary programs.

Our graduate students enjoy the advantages of small classes and close  interaction with the graduate faculty, as student and faculty offices are intermingled in Bell Hall.

Our undergraduate students are successfully prepared for graduate studies, for a teaching career, and for positions in industry.
