Welcome to the Mechanical Engineering Program at UTEP.  Our program includes both the Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering.  Additionally, our faculty participates in the Master of Science in Manufacturing and in the Ph.D. programs of Environmental and Materials Science.  Current research areas in the ME program include the study of  micro-gravity combustion process, material behavior and its machining properties, and the use of rapid prototyping methods applied to bio-med field.

Our Mission is to make available a high quality and relevant Mechanical Engineering education to all residents of the El Paso bi-national region.  We dedicate ourselves to provide our students with the skills, knowledge and attitude needed to be successful as engineers and leaders.
