ARMADILLO Conference Coming to UTEP in October - Wednesday, May 21, 2008
The annual research conference of the Association for Research on Memory, Decision making, Intelligence, Language, Learning, and Organization will take place at UTEP on October 24-25, 2008. This is a group of cognitive psychology professors and students from Texas and neighboring states. More information will be available soon.  Contact person: Dr. Wendy Francis.
 

Psychology Department Welcomes New Chair - Saturday, August 18, 2007
We are happy to announce the arrival of Dr. Edward "Eddie" Castañeda, the new chair of the Psychology Department.  Dr. Castañeda, a native El Pasoan, earned his B.S. and M.A. in psychology at UTEP and his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan.  He comes to us from Arizona State University where he served on the faculty from 1990 to 2007.  In addition to his duties as chair, Dr. Castañeda will conduct research and offer courses in the area of behavioral neuroscience.
